We made a short move from Folsom to Loomis at the start of summer 2024. This situates us a wee bit closer to the various yard locations George has been working from. We’re also in the same park as the family we’ve enjoyed traveling with throughout the past several years which has been really nice. There are also other line families with kids and we have all been having so much fun running amuck outside.

Loomis has a smaller town feel with nearby access to plenty of stores, entertainment and nature. While I miss the trail network and some sweet people in Folsom, overall it’s been really nice to be tucked away a little from busier streets. We’ve been loving the sweet little Loomis Public Library and Ellie is really liking Extreme Gymnastics which was recommended by her friends.

Ellie has also started school since I last wrote. She is enrolled in a virtual school and is thriving in kindergarten. It’s been really sweet having the classroom brought into our home. I can’t get over how much they cover in kindergarten these days.

Maeve is growing so very fast. She has interesting things to say, loves following along with Ellie’s live classes, practicing gymnastics with Ellie and riding her balance bike.

George is working a lot (we appreciate you , Georgie :). I’m trying to squeeze in some time to devote to my continuing education as a Registered Dietitian. This registration/licensure cycle, I am more focused on integrative and functional nutrition. I would like to work again some day whether in a virtual world or back in person.
We have some big changes ahead, with a move into a house planned at the end of summer. We’re all looking forward to a little more space and a bath tub. Most importantly, it will provide space for family and friends to stay. In the meantime, I’m hoping I can get into a rhythm to capture memories of what life is like living full-time in a camper.
